The Ohio State University invites applications for the position of Administrative Assistant for Enrollment Services on the Mansfield campus. The Administrative Assistant will serve as the enthusiastic face of the Enrollment Services office for the campus (consisting of Admissions, Academic Advising, and Financial Aid), greeting current students, prospective students and their families, as well as all other visitors to the campus. The responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to the following: answering incoming calls and directing inquiries to other departments as appropriate; greeting and directing office foot-traffic; managing student appointments for the Academic Advising team; aiding retention efforts by monitoring targeted student populations and offering support/identifying campus resources as needed; assist office in planning and preparing for events; and assisting the Deans suite with various record and scheduling request.
Required Qualifications: Experience with Microsoft Office, including Excel. Must be collaborative and work well in a team-oriented environment with superior verbal and written communications skills.
Desired Experience: Highly organized with strong attention to detail; experience with university financial systems; experience with Workday; prior experience with Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA); knowledge of higher education policies and procedures. Bachelors degree or minimum of 4 years of experience preferred.
This full-time position will be for approximately 35 hours/week and is located at the Mansfield campus in Mansfield, Ohio. The hiring range for this position is $16.65-21.77/hour. The salary offered for this position will vary based on candidate experience and internal equity. This position is primarily first shift but may also include a need for working evening hours on occasion.

Additional Information:The Ohio State University at Mansfield offered its first classes in 1958. The Mansfield campus sits on 640 acres and shares the campus with North Central State College. The campus is a thriving model for sustainability and environmental/natural resources experiential education and hands-on research. The campus has a 20-acre sugar bush used for maple syrup production; vernal pools, pine plantations, wetlands, and stream heads; and an ecolab collaboration with the School of Environment and Natural Resources. The two institutions have their own administrative leadership and governance structure, but partner through several shared services, including security, campus recreation, facilities, and several student events and programs.
Ohio State Mansfield currently enrolls 828 students who are taught and supported by 28 tenure track or tenured professors. The campus focuses on the success of a student academically (small class size; innovative instruction methods; undergraduate research opportunities; easy access to faculty and staff; new programs and facilities), but also the success of students as a person.
