RKB Accounting & Tax Service, LLC is seeking a skilled Bookkeeper / Tax Preparer to join our team in La Crosse, WI. As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to work with a diverse range of clients and help them navigate their tax and accounting needs.

Daily Responsibilities:

• Performing journal entries and maintaining accurate financial records
• Ensuring compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
• Assisting with month-end close processes
• Preparing financial statements and reconciliations
• Utilizing accounting software to manage general ledger entries

Required Skills:

• Experience with taxes and tax preparation
• Knowledge of accounts payable and receivable processes
• Ability to generate financial reports and conduct reconciliations
• Strong customer retention skills and attention to detail
• Proficiency in bookkeeping and recordkeeping

Nice to Have Skills:

• Experience with accounting software such as Xero, Sage and QuickBooks
• Experience with payroll software such as Accountants World and QuickBooks online
• Experience with tax software such as Drake.
• Administrative skills for file management and organization

Salary and Benefits:

• Minimum Salary: $36,000.00
• Maximum Salary: $44,000.00
• 401(k) and Paid Time Off benefits
