Interim Controller / Assistant Controller

Our client, in the Financial Services Industry is seeking an Interim Staff Accountant to join their team. As an Interim Staff Accountant, you will be part of the Finance Department supporting with mid-level accounting functions including financial reporting, audit support, and process improvement initiatives.

Job Title: Interim Staff Accountant

Location: Remote

Pay Range: 40-45 (negotiable, let's talk)

Whats the Job?

• Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance.

• 35 years of professional accounting experience, including month-end close and reconciliations.

• Familiarity with banking operations such as ACH transactions, wire transfers, and exception processing.

• Experience with ERP/GL systems (Prologue by Fiserv preferred; Finxact exposure is a plus).

• Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting standards.

Whats Needed?

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office applications.

• Experience working in the banking industry required

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail.

• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills for cross-functional teamwork.

• Process improvement mindset with the ability to identify and implement efficiencies.
