Food Service Director (FSD)

A skilled nursing facility in Brooklyn is seeking an experienced Food Service Director . Long-term care experience preferred. Competitive pay + full benefits.

DUTIES:

• Plan, assign & supervise Food Service staff

• Create schedules & prepare payroll info

• Oversee food/supply storage & handling

• Ensure kitchen, storage, dining areas & equipment are clean and compliant

• Inspect resident trays for accuracy

• Assist on tray line when needed

• Plan food prep for special events

• Handle ordering & purchasing

• Conduct staff training, orientation & ongoing development

REQUIREMENTS:

• CDM certification required

• HS diploma or equivalent

• LTC food service experience strongly preferred

• ServSafe or Sodexo certification preferred

• Knowledge of large-scale & therapeutic food prep

• Strong leadership & supervisory skills

• Excellent communication; strong team player
