Overview
The Credit Specialist provides front-line customer service to our customers. This includes, but not limited to, setting up new accounts/researching credit worthiness, processing tax exempt certificates and fraud review. Additional administrative duties will also be assigned in support of the Credit and Customer Billing department.
Hybrid Schedule: M-th in office, Fri work from home

Responsibilities
Summary:
The Credit Specialist provides front-line customer service to our customers. This includes, but not limited to, setting up new accounts/researching credit worthiness, processing tax exempt certificates and fraud review. Additional administrative duties will also be assigned in support of the Credit and Customer Billing department.
Organizational Impact:
This role enhances organizational efficiency and risk management by accurately setting up customer accounts, evaluating creditworthiness, and conducting fraud reviews. Providing administrative support to the Customer Billing department and handling customer requests ensures timely resolutions and a positive customer experience. Managing tasks with urgency and professionalism helps maintain smooth operations and reduces financial risk.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Create new customer accounts in ERP system to include reviewing credit worthiness.
Investigating & validating new shipping addresses.
Conduct fraud review on various order types.
Validating and indexing sales tax exemption certificates.
Monitor various group email inboxes and respond to customer inquiries.
Perform customer reactivations and address changes.
May also assist with other related clerical duties such as copying, scanning, faxing and filing.
-up phone coverage for Billing queue's.
Manage responsibilities with a sense of urgency, autonomy, and professionalism.
Skills/Experience Required:
Effective communication skills, both oral and written.
Demonstrated ability to work effectively in an integrated accounting system.
Proficiency in Excel, Word, and Outlook.
Customer service-orientated.
Sense of accountability for results and the results of the collections team.
Goal-centered motivation; results-driven.
Willingness to do whatever it takes to serve the customer and help meet collection goals.
Ability to work independently with minimum supervision.
Desire to belong to a team and to contribute to the success of the larger organization.
Ability to communicate any issues or problems with a supervisor on a timely basis.
