The Product Owner for Software Solutions supports the Senior Product Manager in defining, prioritizing, and delivering product enhancements across Sarnova's connected software platforms, including customer facing program platforms and iOT devices. This role bridges business goals and engineering execution, ensuring features are delivered on time, aligned with operational workflows, and optimized for user experience. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, translating complex business processes into intuitive digital solutions that support compliance, uptime, and recurring revenue.

Office schedule: M-Th Office based, Friday remote

Responsibilities

Summary:

The Product Owner for Software Solutions supports the Senior Product Manager in defining, prioritizing, and delivering product enhancements across Sarnova's connected software platforms, including customer facing program platforms and iOT devices. This role bridges business goals and engineering execution, ensuring features are delivered on time, aligned with operational workflows, and optimized for user experience. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, translating complex business processes into intuitive digital solutions that support compliance, uptime, and recurring revenue.

Organizational Impact:

This role ensures the successful execution of Sarnova's software roadmap, driving alignment between Product, Engineering, Operations, and Customer Success. By connecting strategy to delivery, the Product Owner strengthens system reliability, process efficiency, and customer retention critical pillars in scaling Sarnova's technology-enabled AED, safety and program-management ecosystem.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Product Execution & log Ownership

Own and maintain the product backlog for assigned software platforms (ScoutRMS, program managment, or related systems)

Translate strategic objectives from the Senior Product Manager into detailed user stories, epics, and acceptance criteria

Prioritize work based on customer value, technical feasibility, and cross-functional readiness

Participate in Agile ceremonies sprint planning, daily standups, backlog refinement, and sprint reviews

Ensure delivered functionality meets quality, usability, and performance expectations

Operational Alignment & Workflow Integration

Collaborate with Operations, Finance, and Implementation teams to align software workflows with real-world processes (e.g., provisioning, billing, renewals, compliance)

Coordinate with Supply Chain and Product Operations to ensure data integrity across systems (ERP, CRM, and monitoring platforms)

Partner with Implementation and Field teams to validate setup, configuration, and escalation workflows

Support internal readiness for new features through training materials, release notes, and knowledge-based updates

Technical Coordination & Quality

Work closely with Engineering and QA to define test cases, validate features, and manage defect triage

Coordinate cross-platform dependencies and integrations with other systems (CRM, ERP, analytics tools, etc.)

Assist in documenting version updates, release notes, and user guides

Support API and data-integration readiness to ensure seamless end-to-end workflows

Customer Experience & Feedback Loop

Gather, document, and prioritize customer feedback through Support, Sales, and Customer Success channels

Analyze usage data, adoption metrics, and support tickets to identify opportunities for improvement

Participate in customer demos or feedback sessions to validate product design and usability

Partner with Training & Enablement teams to ensure new functionality is well understood internally and externally

Roadmap Support & Continuous Improvement

Provide input to the Senior Product Manager during quarterly roadmap planning backlog health, delivery velocity, and feature performance

Support RICE scoring, ROI assessments, and capacity planning

Identify process improvements to enhance sprint delivery, backlog management, and stakeholder communication

Help maintain alignment between product releases, operational readiness, and customer milestones

Additional job duties as assigned

Skills/Experience Required:

Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field required

Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) or similar Agile certification preferred

2-4+ years of experience as a Product Owner, Business Analyst, or related role in SaaS or software-driven environments

Experience in healthcare, life-safety, or regulated technology sectors preferred

Proficiency in Agile/Scrum methodologies and backlog management tools (Jira, Azure DevOps, etc.)

Strong ability to translate business processes into technical requirements and user stories

Excellent collaboration and communication skills with both technical and non-technical audiences

Analytical, detail-oriented, and able to prioritize effectively in a fast-moving environment

Familiarity with APIs, data integrations, and customer-facing SaaS workflows preferred

Experience partnering with Operations, Finance, and Customer Success teams a strong plus
