Responsibilities: Conduct comprehensive nursing assessments within 8 hours of patient admission to develop individualized care plans. Identify and address patient education needs collaboratively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams. Provide timely patient status updates during initial and ongoing team conferences. Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately and promptly in medical records. Participate actively in patient rehabilitation programs, applying the nursing process and focusing on patient/family education. Initiate discharge planning and patient teaching starting from admission. Communicate essential patient status changes to physicians, charge nurses, and team members to ensure continuity of care. Supervise and direct ancillary nursing staff, employing effective problem-solving and delegation skills. Maintain personal and environmental safety standards adhering to all hospital policies and procedures. Contribute positively to the unit environment by offering calm guidance and participating in team building. Manage clinical supplies and equipment needs efficiently to support quality patient care. Assume charge nurse responsibilities following orientation, when requested. Pursue ongoing professional development through continuing education and self-study. Prioritize patient care activities to optimize staff use and meet patient needs effectively. Qualifications and Desired Experience: Registered Nurse (RN) licensure, preferably with a Master of Science (MS) degree. Proven competency in nursing care aligned with population-served criteria. Strong assessment, communication, and documentation skills. Ability to lead and collaborate within a multidisciplinary team. Commitment to patient and employee safety following strict protocols.
