Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement the overall engineering strategy.
  • Build and maintain relationships with external vendors to support operational growth and capacity.
  • Oversee and optimize all engineering processes.
  • Support enhancements to MBS software to reduce project turnaround times.
  • Lead monthly continuous improvement initiatives to elevate performance and efficiency.
  • Provide daily, weekly, and monthly reports on engineering production metrics.
  • Analyze KPIs to gain insight into workflows, technologies, and overall performance.
  • Ensure engineering processes and documentation are reviewed, updated, and maintained regularly.
  • Coach and guide team members to achieve operational and financial goals.
  • Promote cross-department collaboration and a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Lead the recruitment, development, and performance evaluation of engineering staff.
  • Conduct performance reviews, recognize achievements, and resolve employee concerns.
  • Maintain a safe, healthy, and positive work environment.
  • Provide ongoing coaching, feedback, and mentorship.
  • Define and advance the strategic direction of the engineering team to support sustainable growth, profitability, and resource optimization.
  • Lead a high-performing team by setting goals, monitoring performance, and leveraging key production metrics.
  • Stay current on industry trends and technologies to guide innovation and best practices.
  • Streamline the entire engineering lifecycle-from contract initiation to project completion-to improve efficiency and customer satisfaction.
  • Train and mentor engineering staff in CAD/design skills, performance management, and succession planning.
  • Conduct regular team meetings and one-on-one check-ins to support communication and development.
  • Strengthen recruitment and onboarding processes for CAD technicians, designers, and detailers, with a focus on long-term succession needs.
  • Provide support to sales and operations teams as needed.
  • Collaborate with the General Manager and Ambassador Supply leadership to align engineering operations with sales and financial goals.
  • Develop and execute an engineering optimization plan with clear monthly objectives and progress updates.
  • Build strong relationships with team members by knowing them personally and fostering a culture of trust and care.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Experience:
  • Strong understanding of mechanical and plumbing systems, as well as hydraulic and pneumatic principles.
  • Ability to diagnose and resolve complex problems with boiler systems and related equipment.
  • Thorough knowledge of safety regulations and procedures related to boiler operation and maintenance.
  • Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting, bending and working in confined spaces.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with other technicians and supervisors.
  • Maintaining detailed records of maintenance activities, gas log, repairs and system performance.

Minimum Requirements:
  • Must be at least 18 years of age or older
  • Minimum of 3 years related experience
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
  • Ability to work in confined spaces
  • Must be capable of making repetitive arm and hand motions, stand, walk up steps, reach, bend, kneel, and lift*
  • Lifting Capacity: 50-75 lbs.
