Our client is a hospital located in Merritt Island, Florida, seeking a dedicated Associate Veterinarian to join their collaborative team. The hospital offers comprehensive medical, surgical, and dental care for dogs, cats and some exotics, while fostering a supportive environment that encourages professional growth. Working Hours / Rota
The hospital is open Monday through Friday from 7:30 am to 5:30 pm and is closed on weekends. The schedule offers flexibility and includes hour-long lunch breaks, allowing for a healthy work-life balance. This is a full-time position.
Role Description and Responsibilities
The Associate Veterinarian will provide high-quality medical, surgical, and dental care while engaging in collaborative case discussions with the clinical team and leadership. The role involves managing a varied caseload, performing surgeries, and conducting appointments during open hours. The veterinarian will also play a key role in nurturing relationships with clients, mentoring support staff through an internal training program, and contributing to a positive and growth-oriented hospital culture. This opportunity is open to both new graduates and experienced veterinarians.
Practice Details
The hospital provides outstanding medical, surgical, and dental care with a strong focus on preventive medicine and individualized treatment plans. Services include wellness exams, immunizations, laboratory testing, heartworm and flea/tick prevention, nutritional counseling, dental care, and surgical procedures. Advanced diagnostics such as digital radiography and ultrasound are available, allowing for in-house diagnosis and treatment. The team is committed to treating each pet and family with compassion, tailoring care plans to the needs, comfort, and resources of each client.
Team
The hospital currently has one DVM supported by a skilled and compassionate support team. The environment emphasizes teamwork, professional development, and open communication to ensure the highest level of care for both patients and clients.
Candidate Requirements
- Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
- Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
- Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
