Job Summary:?
The Production Manager oversees all day-to-day activities within the production department, ensuring the plant operates at peak performance. This includes managing production rate planning, operational efficiency, and raw material utilization to fully optimize local plant operations.

As a Production Manager, You Will:
  • Responsible for leading daily operations within the production department to ensure the plant runs efficiently and meets performance goals. This includes overseeing production planning, operational efficiency, and raw material utilization to optimize output.
  • The role requires making-or actively supporting-critical site-level decisions, including capital project recommendations, team performance management, production and maintenance planning, and budgeting/cost control.
  • Ensures strict compliance with all safety, environmental, and contractor management standards, promoting a culture where safe and responsible operations are non-negotiable.
  • Drives key people development initiatives, such as employee training, talent and skills development, organizational planning, onboarding, and succession readiness.
  • Strong collaboration with fellow plant leadership and maintaining consistent communication with external partners, including Supply and Demand Planning teams.

Skills and Requirements:
  • Equipment theory and maintenance history
  • Strong knowledge of Responsible Care Codes and Practices, Process Safety Management (PSM), quality systems, incident investigation, problem-solving, contracts, and service agreements.
  • Proficiency with essential business platforms, including site DCS systems, JDE E-One, Dayforce, Coupa, SharePoint, Microsoft Office Suite, and KMS/MOC.
  • 5-10 years of experience in plant operations, including leadership experience within the chlor-alkali chemical industry.
  • Expertise in plant operations and management, budgeting/cost control, safety and environmental oversight, community relations, regulatory engagement, and customer communication.
  • Strong analytical ability to interpret process/technical data and lead incident or process investigations.
  • Consistent focus on operational priorities, including ethical practices, safety, Responsible Care principles, and environmental compliance.
  • Solid financial skills, including budgeting.
  • Ability to effectively train others; strong training skills are an asset.
  • Proven success in recruiting, developing, and leading teams.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally as required by the role.

Education:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Chemical, Mechanical, Pulp and Paper) is preferred.
