Job Title: Reservations Manager Department: Business Advancement | Blackwell Hotel Rooms

The Reservations Manager plays a vital role in ensuring a smooth and efficient booking process through strategic oversight of reservation systems and guest-focused service. This position blends analytical skills with hospitality expertise to support optimal occupancy and deliver a seamless experience for guests from inquiry to arrival. Responsibilities include supporting transient and group reservation processes, entering and maintaining group room blocks, and creating and managing group booking links. The manager gathers key data for weekly RevMax meetings, oversees distribution channels such as OTAs, direct bookings, and GDS platforms, and responds to guest inquiries via phone and email with accurate and timely reservation entries. They communicate reservation details across departments to support a smooth and memorable guest experience, maintain reliable reservation systems, and foster lasting relationships with VIP guests. Additionally, the role involves collaborating with the Rooms Division Manager and AGM to develop new packages and room promotions. They will be responsible for managing the special events calendar, and ensuring the hotel remains bookable through all available outlets.

Required Qualifications:
High School diploma or GED. Certification or vocational training may be required. 2 years of relevant experience.

Desired Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelors degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, related field or equivalent experience

  • Minimum 23 years of experience in reservations, or a related field within the hospitality industry.

  • Proficiency in property management systems (e.g., Opera, SynXis, or similar)

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy

  • Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment

  • Customer service mindset with a focus on guest satisfaction
