Sr Accountant

Accounting Supervisor – $100,000+ Starting Salary
Southern NJ | Full-Time | On-Site

Our client, a well-established multi-trade contractor in Southern New Jersey, is seeking a sharp, detail-driven Accounting Supervisor to join their leadership team. This role is ideal for a seasoned accounting professional who thrives in a fast-paced construction environment and wants to take ownership of financial performance across multiple entities.

If you’re the kind of person who’s fluent in spreadsheets, calm during audits, and can spot variances faster than most people spot red flags in a group chat—this role has your name all over it.

What You’ll Do

• Oversee accounting operations across multiple entities

• Perform financial analysis, generate monthly/quarterly reports, and assess control procedures

• Produce client profitability reports, identify variances, and communicate insights to management

• Manage client billing across several divisions

• Monitor cost accounting data and evaluate metrics such as labor cost per hour

• Support payroll-related functions and ensure accuracy

• Assist with continuous process improvement within the accounting department

What We’re Looking For

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting

• Minimum 4 years of construction accounting experience

• Sage Intacct experience required

• Payroll experience strongly desired

• Strong analytical and reporting skills

• Ability to manage complex, multi-entity financials

• Hands-on, proactive approach with excellent communication skills

• Bonus points for:

  • AIA billing experience

  • Certified payroll reporting experience

Compensation & Details

• Starting salary: $100,000+ (based on experience)

• Full-time, on-site position in Southern New Jersey
