School Therapist

Join our team at Educational Development Center in Richmond, VA and make a difference in the lives of students. As a School Therapist, you will have the opportunity to provide essential support to students in need, working closely with school staff and families to ensure the well-being and success of each individual. Daily Responsibilities:

• Provide individual and group counseling to students
• Address Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) goals
• Collaborate with teachers and parents to create interventions and support plans
• Connect students and families with community resources
• Participate in crisis intervention and management as needed
•  Conduct Threat Assesments
• Create treatment plans
• Provide QMHP Supervision as needed

Required Skills:

• Master's degree in School Counseling or related field
• Experience in Special Education and working with diverse student populations
• Knowledge of treatment plans and educational advising
• Strong understanding of mental health and psychology principles
• Ability to serve as a liaison between school, families, and external agencies

Nice to Have Skills:

• Experience in group counseling and facilitating support groups
• Knowledge of crisis intervention techniques
• Previous work in curriculum development and educational programming
• Art Therapy

Salary and Benefits:

• Minimum Salary: $54,000.00
• Maximum Salary: $63,000.00
