The ideal candidate will deliver high-quality care in a Med/Surg setting and demonstrate flexibility to float within units of equivalent or lower acuity as needed.Responsibilities: Provide safe, evidence-based nursing care to adult and geriatric patients Float to various Med/Surg and related units as assigned Maintain accurate patient documentation using Epic EHR Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to ensure optimal outcomes Work flexible weekday, weekend, and holiday rotationsQualifications: Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg experience (required) Valid RN license (Compact or OH) BLS (required) | ACLS, NIHSS, CPI (preferred) EPIC charting experience preferred Travel experience requiredSkills Required: IV starts and telemetry monitoring Central line and PICC management Blood product administration Dysrhythmia management Heparin and insulin protocols Wound and tracheostomy care Post-surgical and neuro patient management Use of Rapid Response/Code teamsPatient Ratios: Typical Ratio: 1:45Scheduling & Orientation: Orientation: 24 hours Must be available for 4 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule Float to other OSU units as neededCompliance & Submittal Notes: Strict compliance deadline: Tuesday prior to start date (no exceptions) Fingerprinting in Ohio required immediately after booking 2 professional references required (1 from a manager/director) Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only) COVID-19 vaccine not required Locals accepted at same rate Education must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited programCare Career Job ID #.
