Job DescriptionAECOM Technical Services, Inc is seeking a Civil Engineering IV in Columbus, OH.
Job details:
- Design highway and roadway systems.
- Assist project manager by providing engineering design support (engineering reports, design calculations, quantity and cost estimates) for roadway, hydraulics, and hydrology design projects.
- Perform professional engineering work involving the application of standard techniques, procedures, and design criteria in carrying out routine engineering tasks.
- Assist with the strategic growth of the Transportation Design Team and provide mentoring to design team members.
- Independently coordinate the work of engineers, designers/draft persons and sub-consultants throughout the projects execution.
- Assist with marketing, contractual development, and design implementation.
- Responsible for the preparation and production of reports, plans, specifications, and estimates.
- Instrumental in all project client meetings, design study development and site and field visits during design and construction.
- Converse with project team and government agencies and clients.
- Plan, schedule, conduct, coordinate, and manage detailed phases of roadway engineering projects.
- Simultaneously manage multiple projects and clients.
- Verify that applicable codes, engineering standards and environmental commitments are being met.
- Delegate work to mentor, train, and supervise less experienced staff to complete assignments.
- Contact and interact with local public sector clients (OTIC, ODOT, Cities, and Counties, etc.) in order to successfully complete assigned projects.
- May telecommute.
Candidates must have a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field and 10 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in job offered or in a related occupation.
Alternatively, employer will accept a Masters degree in Civil Engineering or related field and 8 years of experience in job offered or in a related occupation.

- ArcGIS, HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, or HY-8
- Flowmaster
- Pondpack V8i
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
