Position Title: Catalog Fulfillment Specialist (Level I)

Department Location: Operations - Catalog

Reports To: Fulfillment Supervisor

Employees Supervised: None

Interrelationships: Internal –production staff

FLSA Classification: Hourly – non-exempt

Employee Classification: Regular, full-time

Position Summary:

Responsible for the fulfillment of non-scheduled projects, which could include graphics, assembled merchandising fixtures, plastic or wood fixtures, or other sourced materials or products to complete packing lists. Will work independently or in a team to fulfill the workdays required shipments. Some production work may be needed to fulfill certain packing lists. Responsible to complete all administrative work accurately, which would include packing lists, inventory management, or any other paperwork that may be required. As needed, supports production, inventory control, packaging, shipping, housekeeping and/or other administrative duties.

Essential Job Functions:

  1. Fulfilling Packing Lists (80%): Pulls finished graphics, fixtures, smallwares, equipment, or any other sourced product to complete packing lists. Responsible for inspecting all products and confirming FCI’s quality standards are met. Accountable for reviewing packing lists and ensuring correct items and quantities are ready for packaging or shipment. Responsible for maintaining own work space and following basic warehouse housekeeping guidelines. Correctly fills out all required packing list information.
  1. Packaging and Labeling (10%): Ensures all packaging is adequate and in appropriate condition for safe delivery to customer. Properly labels all packages with FCI branded decals and applicable packing list information. Delivers all packages to correct area of shipping, based on shipping criteria. Follows all other packaging, labeling and shipping needs.
  1. Warehouse Organization (5%): Organizes and maintains storage areas as needed when gathering products for packing lists. Physically move and arrange product to create more organization and clean work environment. Assist with stocking finished products from other production departments as needed.
  1. Other Assigned Duties (5%): Assist in Catalog production assembly, as well as other departments as needed.

Qualifications:

  1. Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
  1. Experience: One or more years of basic fulfillment experience. Basic knowledge of operation of hand tools and/or manufacturing equipment. Basic understanding of quality and safety as it pertains to a production work environment.
  1. Computer/Software and Office Equipment Skills: No specific skills identified.

Personal Attributes Required:

Must be able to work independently or in a team environment, with strong organizational skills and have attention to detail. Must be able to read, write and communicate fluently in English. Must be able to read and understand written procedures/instructions as it relates to fulfillment or production builds. Capable of following all required emergency, safety or facility procedures.

Essential Physical/ Mental Requirements :

  1. Work requires standing for eight hours a day with frequent bending, lifting, and reaching. Fine manual dexterity is required to assemble parts and components.
  1. Work is performed in an environment with noise, fumes and periodic exposure to potentially harmful chemicals.
  1. Need to occasionally move, lift and handle loads of up to 70 lbs.
  1. Must be able to read 8-point font, with or without corrective lenses, at a distance of 2 feet.

Specific Accountabilities :

  1. Must follow all safety procedures.
  1. Fulfill all required packing lists efficiently.
  1. Review packing lists for completeness and accuracy by carefully reading each line item.
  1. Correctly fill out all required packing list information.
  1. Uphold FCI quality standards.
  1. Understand and follow proper packaging methods of FCI products.
  1. Assemble any necessary components required to complete packing list to meet shipping dates.
  1. Apply decals and accessory materials to equipment or other products as needed.
  1. Correctly store finished goods and maintains organization of storage areas, which includes all graphic, equipment, and smallware storage areas.
  1. Notify Supervisor if any materials or products are low or need ordering.
  1. Work independently and with others to complete projects.
  1. Must communicate well with co-workers, Production Supervisor / Production Manager.
  1. Responsible for keeping their own workspace and entire building clean and orderly.
  1. Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by Production Supervisor.
