The Accountant manages the general accounting function for a group of hotels. Primary responsibilities include financial statement preparation, general ledger entries and verification, analysis and financial reporting, preparation of sales tax returns, balance sheet reconciliations and hotel accounting support. Responsibilities Handling of multiple hotel assignments
Preparation of bank reconciliation
Preparation of periodic income statements
Reconciliation of balance sheet accounts
Review of Daily Revenue reports from multiple hotel locations
Preparation of Payments for Management and Royalty fees
Preparation of Monthly Sales and Occupancy taxes
Performs other duties as assigned to meet business needs.
SKILLS
Able to use standard software applications
Strong technological skills
Understanding of general ledger accounting
Possess strong problem solving abilities
Ability to function well in a fast-paced, team oriented environment
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
Bachelors Degree in Accounting required
1+ years experience preferred
