Encapsulation Manager

Responsibilities:

• Drive continuous improvement within the department by identifying opportunities for investment, process optimization, and enhanced efficiency.
• Serve as the primary troubleshooter for daily operations, ensuring departmental efficiency, output quality, and maximum Encapsulation Machine capacity.
• Develop, review, interpret, and consistently follow all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Lead daily start-of-shift meetings to promote communication, provide debriefs, assess departmental needs, and maintain team alignment.
• Collaborate closely with Production Supervisors and Managers; support training initiatives and conduct follow-ups to ensure SOPs are routinely upheld and improved.
• Identify safety concerns and implement corrective actions to maintain a safe work environment.
• Ensure all team members are properly trained in accurate documentation practices and verify that records are completed clearly, correctly, and consistently.
• Provide direction to encapsulation technicians to ensure successful and timely completion of assigned tasks.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Skills & Requirements:

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent relevant experience.
• At least 2 years of experience in a GMP manufacturing environment.
• Minimum of 5 years in a lead or supervisory role.
• Ability to make precise, repeated adjustments to machine controls.
• Intermediate mechanical aptitude with strong troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to read and interpret machine schematics and diagrams.
• Must come from nutraceutical manufacturing background.
• Strong problem-recognition skills, with the ability to detect issues and anticipate potential problems.

Physical Demands & Working Conditions:

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and move up to 500 lbs. using appropriate equipment.
• Ability to stand for the duration of the workday.
• Must be able to work in a production environment that requires frequent bending, stooping, reaching, climbing, and lifting.

Salary Range: $75K-$90K annually
