Seasonal Tax Accountant / Preparer

CPA firm serving Pickens and Oconee County is looking for an experienced seasonal tax accountant for the upcoming tax season.  This position would require full-time hours from February 15th to April 15th.  This position would offer $25 to $35/hour based on experience. If you have the qualifications, we want to speak to you. Please apply today!

Job Responsibilities:  

• Preparing accurate individual (Form 1040) and business (e.g., Forms 1120, 1065, 1120S, 990) tax returns.
• Organizing and analyzing client financial records, such as W-2s, 1099s, income statements, and documentation of expenditures.
• Gathering information, analyzing year-end account balances and calculating depreciation for business returns
• Using a variety of software programs, including Prosystems fx Tax; Prosystems fx Engagement; QuickBooks, and Excel

 Requirements:  As our seasonal staff accountant, you must have the education and the accounting/finance experience necessary for this position.

Additional requirements include:

• 4 year degree
• At least one year of recent relevant experience
• Proficiency with tax preparation software (we use CCH Prosystems Tax and Engagement) and general accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Excel).
