Job Description Summary:
Creates, manages, and shares compelling digital content that inspires engagement and supports fundraising, volunteerism, and awareness to advance the mission of Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) of Central Ohio. Focuses on social media strategy, website management, photography, and digital storytelling ensuring that RMHCs voice, visuals, and messaging are consistent, compassionate, and impactful across all platforms.Job Description:
Essential Functions:
- Plans, creates, and manages content across social media and other digital platforms, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and brand standards.
- Implements social media campaigns and monitors performance metrics to evaluate and optimize engagement strategies.
- Captures, edits, and delivers photography and video content for digital and print use.
- Maintains the RMHC Central Ohio website, supporting SEO, analytics, and user experience.
- Writes captions, blog posts, and short stories that communicate impact and inspire action.
- Collaborates across internal teams and external vendors to ensure brand consistency, mission alignment, and timely and accurate delivery of content.
Education Requirement:
Bachelors Degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, Photography, or a related field, or equivalent experience, required.
Skills:
- Excellent visual storytelling and writing skills.
- Strong understanding of social media best practices and emerging trends.
- Creative, organized, and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proactive problem-solver with a keen eye for detail and design consistency.
- Passion for the mission of RMHC and commitment to compassionate, family-centered communication.
Experience:
- One year of experience managing social media channels, creating content, or photography, required.
- Experience in a nonprofit or agency setting, preferred.
- Experience with social media management tools and photo/video editing software, required.
- Experience with WordPress or other content management systems, required.
- Experience with Google Ads, media buying, or digital analytics tools, preferred.
