A rewarding opportunity is available for a Special Education Teacher to support students in an elementary school setting in Westerville, OH. This contract role runs from ASAP through June 23, 2026, offering up to 35 hours per week. The position involves working with a caseload of K-8 students across multiple disability categories, including Specific Learning Disabilities (SLD), Intellectual Disabilities (ID), and minor Other Health Impairments (OHI).
Responsibilities include providing specialized instruction and interventions tailored to the diverse needs of students in grades 3 through 6. The role requires delivering itinerant services and collaborating with educators, families, and support staff to promote academic and social growth. The teacher will manage a cross-categorical caseload and adapt teaching methods to individual student needs.
Qualifications:
- Valid Ohio Intervention Specialist license required (No Education Unlimited license accepted)
- Experience working with students with disabilities including SLD, ID, and minor OHI
