Brown & Brown is seeking a Commercial Lines Account Manager to join our growing team in Lakeland, FL!
The Commercial Lines Junior Account Manager is responsible for managing and renewing accounts in keeping with agency and individual goals. Provides service in support of producer's sales duties and builds relationship with producer's clients. Identifies and solicits additional sales from various accounts rounding and referral sources. Carries the agency's reputation and professional manner of conducting business into dealings with clients, agency personnel and companies represented.
How You Will Contribute:
Assist the producer, and account manager in achieving new business production goals and renewing existing business to meet or exceed agency targets.
Develop and expand coverage lines for existing accounts to enhance client retention and agency growth.
Obtain, follow up, and manage underwriting, claims, and other account-related information as requested by agency or company representatives.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of forms, coverage changes, and industry trends through bulletins, circulars, and seminars.
Prepare and issue binders, finance contracts, invoices, and proposals for new and renewal accounts in a timely and accurate manner.
Coordinate the marketing of accounts as directed by the producer, including preparing accounts for marketing initiatives.
Prepare accounts for the market prior to instructions from the account manager or producer.
Review and process new and renewal policies, ensuring accuracy and proper delivery to the insured, and update policy details in the system.
Rate, quote, and issue policies as needed to meet client needs and agency objectives.
Issue certificates of insurance, auto ID cards, and summaries of insurance as required.
Licenses and Certifications:
Current 2-20 license or licensed within 90 days of hire.
Skills & Experience to Be Successful:
Highschool Diploma or GED
Proficient with MS Office Suite
Strong Communication skills
Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality
1 - 3 years' experience in a similar position
Bachelors Degree in business or Finance (Preferred)
