General Practice Veterinarian (Associate Veterinarian)

Our client is a hospital seeking an experienced Associate Veterinarian to join their growing team in San Diego, California. This full-service practice serves a loyal client base and provides comprehensive care in a collaborative and supportive environment. The hospital is committed to delivering high-quality veterinary services while fostering strong relationships among staff and clients.

Working Hours / Rota
The hospital is open seven days a week, with extended hours to accommodate both routine and emergency care. Business hours are Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 7:30 pm, and Saturday and Sunday from 8:00 am to 6:30 pm. The position offers full-time hours and includes coverage during weekends.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Associate Veterinarian will provide high-quality medical care, including routine wellness, vaccinations, internal medicine, dental care, surgery, and emergency services during extended hours. The position is open to experienced veterinarians who are committed to delivering compassionate care in a fast-paced, full-service setting.

Practice Details
The hospital is equipped with an in-house lab suite, digital radiology, ultrasound, digital dental radiology, therapeutic laser, and access to a mobile orthopedic surgeon. Services offered include wellness exams, vaccinations, internal medicine, dental care, geriatric care, surgery, emergency care, and laser therapy. The environment is modern, well-resourced, and designed to support both general practice and emergency services.

Team
The team consists of three DVMs, a large group of credentialed technicians, friendly support staff, an experienced hospital manager, and strong leadership support. The work culture is collaborative and team-oriented, promoting high-quality patient care and professional growth.

Candidate Requirements

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
