The Country Security Manager, assigned to one of Pinkerton's largest global clients, will oversee the development and standardization of security policies and programs to protect corporate business operations across Australia and New Zealand. The Manager is directly responsible for delivering effective security operations, ensuring safety, and managing business continuity, emergency/incident response, and the design/installation of physical security within the corporate offices in these countries.

Responsibilities

  • Represent Pinkerton's core values of integrity, vigilance, and excellence.
  • Responsible for the overall safety and security of the critical assets within the client's corporate office.
  • Establish and maintain close and collaborative working relationships with multiple cross functional teams and business stakeholders including, but not limited to, IT, Global Real Estate Facilities, Human Resources, and Legal.
  • Manage day-to-day security operations which includes guard force management, alarm response, security systems, and special event security management.
  • Assess, evaluate, plan, and arrange third party security services.
  • Review, manage, and monitor the effectiveness of contracted security services/resources.
  • Continuously review, implement, and maintain effective security policies, procedures, and practices.
  • Develop performance metrics to track and improve individual, team, system, and site performance.
  • Establish and implement effective, predictable, and measurable procedures/processes to be communicated clearly among client stakeholders.
  • Conduct initial workplace incident investigations, site security audits, special event coordination and other safety, security, or business continuity initiatives.
  • Collaborate with Human Resources to conduct pre-screenings of new employees and commence investigations into policy breaches, harassment complaints, drug use, and illegal activities such as corporate fraud, copyright infringement, and cyber-criminal activity.
  • Facilitate, coordinate, and support the creation and execution of business continuity management, crisis management and incident response program.
  • Provide input to support security design projects during construction phase and evaluating security fit-out plans.
  • Develop scheduled security related training workshops, which are in line with the Corporate Security program, for security team and client employees within the corporate office.
  • All other duties, as assigned.

Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's degree in security management, business management, or an equivalent combination of education and eight years of military, law enforcement and/or global corporate security experience including development of security plans, policies, trend analysis, metrics, and security awareness training programs.

  • Proficient English verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of intelligence interpretation, security/risk threats, and investigation management.
  • Able to adapt and adjust quickly to a variety of situations, making well-informed decisions with minimum supervision.
  • Client orientated and results driven.
  • Strong sense of personal ownership.
  • Serve as an effective team leader.
  • Computer skills; Microsoft Office.
