Job Summary:?
Quality Assurance Supervisor oversees product inspections to ensure all items meet manufacturing standards and are free from defects. This role provides quality control throughout every stage of production-from raw materials to finished goods-with about 90% of the work performed on the production floor. Experience in a food manufacturing environment is required.

As QA Supervisor, You Will:

• Verify fryers and freezer settings according to production schedule
• Verify that daily equipment calibration has been performed
• Verify hourly quality check points are being performed to ensure consistent quality in product
• Verify SSOP check daily in all departments
• Ensures all records are completed timely and correctly
• Verify Pre and Post-Op sanitation of Packing area, including ATPtest
• Report any food safety and/or quality issues to the Quality Manager/Assistant Manager immediately.
• Assist in maintaining (USDA/FDA) regulatory compliance.
• Actively monitor production lines to ensure GMPs, food safety, and quality standards are followed.
• Maintain a schedule of testing and validation activities following SQF standards and guidelines.
• Partner with production personnel and supervisors to resolve quality-related issues in real time.
• Ensure accurate and timely documentation of QA checks, deviations, corrective actions, and verification activities.
• Support the implementation and maintenance of food safety and quality management systems.
• Investigate customer complaints or internal issues and document causes and corrective actions.
• Perform other duties as required

Skills and Requirements:

• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Work in a team environment.
• Strong knowledge of food safety regulations (USDA, SQF, & GMPs).
• Hands-on leadership style with a strong presence on the production floor.
• Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and quality documentation systems.

Education:

• Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Microbiology, Biology, or a related field preferred but not required (equivalent experience accepted).
• 3+ years of QA experience in a food manufacturing environment, including at least 1 year in a supervisory or leadership role.
• Experience in the food and meat industry is strongly preferred.
