Job Title: Associate Director of Nursing Department: Ambulatory Services | Ambulatory Administration

Scope of Position:
The Associate Director of Nursing for Ambulatory Services provides strategic and operational leadership for Non-Oncology Infusion Services, Clinical Research Center, and McCampbell Hall OBGYN clinics and associated nursing services across the ambulatory enterprise. This role ensures the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered care while fostering a culture of safety, innovation, and continuous improvement. The Associate Director collaborates with multidisciplinary teams to align nursing practice with institutional goals, regulatory standards, and evidence-based care models. The associate director is involved with determining and establishing the vision and strategic business development plans of assigned areas and serves as a leader in operationalizing systems directed toward achievement of quality patient outcomes. This position is responsible for adherence to all regulatory and compliance reporting, including but not limited to the Joint Commission and ODH. This position reports to the Director of Nursing/Ambulatory Services.

Position Summary:

The associate director has 24/7 responsibility for overall planning, organization, direction, and evaluation of patient care operations for all services performed in Non-Oncology Infusion Services, Clinical Research Center, and McCampbell Hall OBGYN clinics and associated nursing services. This position oversees the daily operations of these service areas. Operations include: inventory/supply management, technology, revenue/billing, patient scheduling, and supervision of technical and support staff. The associate director is responsible for directing, guiding, coaching and evaluating the work performance of the managers.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum Education Required: masters degree in nursing.
  • Current RN license in the State of Ohio. Current BLS certification
  • Minimum 7 years of progressive nursing leadership or relevant experience, preferably in ambulatory or procedural settings.
  • Certification in Nursing Administration (NE-BC or NEA-BC) preferred. Certification is required within 18 months.
