Franklin University, a private, independent, accredited, not-for-profit University located in Columbus, Ohio invites applicants for its Adjunct Faculty-Managerial Economics position. The Adjunct Faculty role includes primary responsibility for providing quality instruction and maintaining a positive learning environment with an emphasis placed on teaching, supporting and evaluating students. Assigned courses may be for face to face or online instruction. This course provides a conceptual framework for understanding the economic forces that underlie the decision-making processes that best serve the specified organizational objectives. Managerial economics utilizes the language, tools, and methodology of economics, emphasizing issues of practical relevance in business management. Topics covered include the analysis of the market forces of supply and demand, price determination, production and cost analysis, market structures, their impact on business strategy, and how economic policy affects the business environment. This course will be offered in both online and face-to-face formats beginning with our Summer 2026 term. Duties and Responsibilities: Teaches courses in discipline Maintains attendance records, determines and submits grades with established timeframes established by the University Creates a welcoming, inclusive and productive learning environment Holds weekly, hour long Zoom meetings with the class Supports the resolution of student issues related to course instruction Provides feedback on what is working and what is not with the course Participates in all department meetings and required training Participates in personal professional development Performs other duties as assigned by the Lead Faculty Minimum Requirements/Qualifications: A Doctoral degree in a business-related discipline and at least 18 graduate credit hours in Financial Economics, Business Economics, Agricultural Economics, Business or a related field from a regionally accredited college or university 7 years of managerial experience involving operations in product and/or financial markets and business cycles Knowledge and application of core concepts and theories of managerial economics Commitment to collaborative & collegiate relationships Maintain confidential and sensitive information Knowledge of higher education regulations, compliance and accrediting agencies Computer proficiency Strong organizational and interpersonal skills Ability to communicate in a professional manner and work effectively with faculty, staff, students and members of the professional community Excellent multi-tasking skills Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Preferred Skills and Characteristics: DBA or Ph.D. in Economics, Agricultural Economics, Finance, or related field 10 years of managerial experience involving operations in product and/or financial markets and business cycles Located in Columbus, OH or surrounding area About Franklin University Founded in 1902, Franklin University has built its reputation on removing barriers to higher education for ambitious adults who must balance their educational goals with other commitments.
