What Will You Enjoy Doing

  • Manage and oversee the complete payroll cycleincluding salaries, benefits, deductions, garnishments, and tax withholdingsensuring timely and accurate processing.
  • Handle payroll updates for new hires, terminations, promotions, and other adjustments.
  • Develop, implement, and refine payroll systems, policies, and procedures to drive process improvements.
  • Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local regulations concerning wage and hour laws, payroll taxes, and reporting mandates.
  • Prepare, reconcile, and analyze payroll reportsincluding tax filings and year-end operations like W2 distribution.
  • Supervise, train, and evaluate payroll team members, ensuring departmental efficiency and accuracy.
  • Assist with internal and external payroll audits by providing documentation and ensuring control integrity.
  • Address employee inquiries related to payroll and uphold confidentiality of sensitive information.
  • Collaborate closely with HR, Finance, and IT to streamline payroll integration and system enhancements.
  • Monitor changes in payroll laws and regulations and update policies and systems to maintain compliance.

What Makes You Great

  • Bachelors degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field preferred.
  • 37 years of progressive payroll experience, including supervisory or managerial roles.
  • 5-8 year experience with UKG Pro required.
  • Strong working knowledge of payroll systems HRIS, (UKG-PRO) and proficiency with MS Office (especially Excel).
  • Deep understanding of payroll regulations, tax filings, and wage laws.
  • Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, organizational ability, and ability to prioritize in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills; high level of integrity and ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Certifications such as Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) are advantageous.
