Retail Associate

The prestigious New York Athletic Club, one of the world's premier private clubs, founded in 1868 and located on Central Park South in Manhattan, is seeking a full-time Retail Associate. The Retail Associate will be responsible for providing a full-service luxury sales experience to our members and guests. Other responsibilities will include:

• Providing a high-touch, elevated shopping experience that results in repeat visits and brand loyalty.
• Maintaining a luxury in-store experience through adherence to set guidelines.
• Adherence to a high degree of professionalism and decorum, treating all clients and team members will respect and courtesy.
• Drawing on a strong base of product knowledge to offer tailored suggestions to shoppers.
• Maintaining operational excellence in the form of shop cleanliness and standard opening/closing procedures.
• Assisting with execution of visual merchandising directives.
• Ability to lift at least 40lbs and assist in receiving and processing shipment.
• Partnering with management to complete monthly audits and contribute to the maintenance of accurate inventory records.
• Interfacing with e-commerce site functions.

Retail Associate skills and qualifications

Retail Associates need to possess a strong set of skills to perform their duties effectively, including:

• Minimum one year retail experience with a passion for fashion and service.
• Full-time availability, including weekends.
• Advanced customer service skills.
• Comprehensive understanding of the luxury athleisure market.
• Excellent communications and interpersonal skills.
• Attention to detail.
• Problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.00 per hour
