General Practice Medical Director (Medical Director Veterinarian)

Introduction
Our client is a full-service veterinary hospital seeking an experienced Medical Director to lead their team. This position offers an exciting opportunity for a veterinarian who is ready to take on a leadership role while continuing to provide high-quality clinical care. The hospital provides comprehensive services for companion animals and prides itself on combining advanced veterinary medicine with a compassionate, client-centered approach.

Working Hours / Rota
This is a full-time position. The hospital is open Monday through Friday from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm and Saturday from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm. The hospital is closed on Sundays.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Medical Director will oversee the delivery of high-quality, client-focused veterinary services while leading and mentoring a dedicated team. Responsibilities include promoting preventive care, ensuring compliance with veterinary standards, and guiding associate veterinarians and support staff in both clinical and professional development. The role requires an experienced veterinarian who can act as both a clinical leader and a role model within the practice.

This AAHA-accredited hospital is well equipped with state-of-the-art facilities, including advanced diagnostic tools, surgical suites, and therapeutic technology. Services offered include wellness care, vaccinations, surgery, dentistry and oral surgery, spay and neuter procedures, parasite prevention, senior pet care, laser therapy, acupuncture, and herbal remedies. The hospital also provides integrative medicine and care plans tailored to each patient's long-term health needs, ensuring comprehensive support for pets at every life stage.

Candidate Requirements

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
