General Practice Medical Director (Medical Director Veterinarian)

Introduction
Our client is a hospital providing full-service general practice care for cats and dogs, and they are hiring for a Medical Director.

Working Hours / Rota
The hospital is closed on Sundays, Mondays, and Saturdays. It is open Tuesday through Thursday from 9 am to 6:30 pm and on Friday from 9 am to 6 pm. Doctor hours are open to discussion, and the position offers flexibility for either full or part-time schedules.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Medical Director will oversee and participate in full-service GP work, including surgery, dentistry, internal medicine, and wellness care. This position is open to experienced candidates, only those comfortable performing soft tissue surgery and dentals.

Practice Details
The hospital is fully equipped with the latest technology, including cloud-based practice management and records software, digital and dental x-ray, Idexx, Butterfly iQ+ handheld ultrasound, Vetology Radiograph Interpretation AI, VMED Vet-Dop2 Doppler Blood Pressure System, and VETSCAN IMAGYST, enabling the team to deliver the highest standards of care. The hospital performs routine, diagnostic, and complex procedures, including radiographs and ultrasounds, dental extractions and prophylaxis, spays/neuters, abdominal exploratory, and mass removals. It operates as a full-service GP.

Candidate Requirements

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
