Introduction
Our client is a full-service general practice hospital seeking a compassionate Veterinarian to join their expanding team in Somerset, Kentucky. This small animal clinic is equipped to provide a wide range of services and places a strong emphasis on mentoring and education, welcoming veterinarians who are passionate about clinical excellence and supporting the development of future DVMs.

Working Hours / Rota
The hospital is open Monday through Friday from 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM, and on Saturdays from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM. It is closed on Sundays. This position offers a healthy work-life balance, with no requirements for nights, after-hours, or on-call shifts.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The role focuses on delivering high-quality veterinary care across a range of services, including routine exams, internal medicine, dentistry, oncology, reproduction, and geriatrics. The position also offers opportunities to mentor veterinary students in a practice that values an education-forward culture. This role is suitable for experienced veterinarians who are eager to contribute to a collaborative and supportive team environment.

Practice Details
The hospital is well-equipped with advanced diagnostic and treatment tools, including an in-house laboratory, digital radiography, ultrasound, ECG/EKG, surgical lasers, and digital dental X-rays. Additional diagnostic support is provided through partnerships with external labs and universities. Services include preventive care, internal medicine, advanced dentistry, oncology, reproduction, and emergency care. The caseload is varied, and the culture is focused on positive teamwork, professional development, and high standards of patient care.

Team
The hospital is home to four DVMs and more than 30 support staff, including licensed technicians and experienced veterinary assistants. The environment is collaborative and education-focused, with a strong support system designed to help veterinarians thrive both clinically and personally.

Candidate Requirements

Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
