Our client is a well-established emergency and critical care hospital based in Gainesville, Georgia, currently seeking an Emergency Veterinarian to join their highly skilled and compassionate team. This hospital provides urgent and intensive care for dogs and cats when they need it most, offering advanced medical support for a wide range of emergency cases. Working Hours / Rota
The hospital provides full after-hours emergency coverage, operating weeknights, weekends, and holidays to ensure pets receive care when their regular veterinarians are closed. The schedule includes coverage from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 a.m. on weekdays, with 24-hour operation on Saturdays and Sundays. This is a full-time position, offering flexibility in scheduling and the opportunity to work with a fully staffed team of veterinarians and technicians during all hours of operation.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Emergency Veterinarian will be responsible for triaging, stabilizing, and treating emergency and critical cases while maintaining a high standard of care and communication. Clinical responsibilities include performing emergency procedures and surgeries, interpreting diagnostics such as radiographs, ultrasounds, and laboratory tests, and managing intensive care patients. The role also involves collaborating with medical and nursing teams to uphold hospital protocols, mentoring staff members, and ensuring excellent client communication and patient follow-up. This position is best suited for an experienced emergency veterinarian who thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced setting and is passionate about delivering life-saving care.

The hospital is a modern, full-service emergency facility equipped with advanced technology to support comprehensive emergency and critical care. Equipment includes digital radiography, Butterfly and traditional ultrasound, IDEXX in-house laboratory analyzers, and an on-site blood bank and plasma supply. The hospital also stocks antivenom to manage frequent snakebite cases and utilizes monoclonal antibodies for the treatment of pancreatitis. The facility is designed for efficient patient flow, with continuous monitoring and state-of-the-art surgical, medical, and intensive care areas. The hospital is home to a team of five veterinarians supported by 13 skilled technicians and additional support staff, creating an excellent tech-to-doctor ratio and ensuring a collaborative work environment. Candidate Requirements

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
