Job Description

Introduction
Our client is a modern small animal hospital seeking an Associate Veterinarian to join their team. This established practice provides care for feline and canine patients, delivering comprehensive primary and urgent care services. As an Associate Veterinarian, you will work alongside experienced colleagues in a collaborative, supportive environment, focusing on high-quality medical care while benefiting from a strong operational and clinical leadership structure.

Working Hours / Rota
The hospital is open Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm, Saturday from 8:30 am to 12:30 pm, and closed on Sundays. This is a full-time position, with scheduling designed to support work-life balance. Flexible hours may be available to accommodate part-time arrangements.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Associate Veterinarian will provide high-quality medical and surgical care for small animal patients, including exams, illness management, spay and neuter procedures, surgery, diagnostics, vaccinations, dental care, and urgent care cases. The role involves working with a collaborative team of veterinarians and support staff to ensure excellent patient outcomes. While mentorship is available through the hospital's leadership, the position requires a veterinarian who is capable of working independently, providing thorough care, and communicating effectively with staff. This position is suitable for veterinarians with experience, though newer graduates may also be considered.

Practice Details
The hospital offers a full suite of veterinary services, including urgent care, diagnostics, spay and neuter, surgery, illness exams, kitten and puppy care, vaccinations, dental care, X-rays, peaceful passing and grief support, and an in-house pharmacy. The hospital is fully equipped with modern diagnostic and treatment tools, including digital X-ray, ultrasound, surgical suites, and other technology to support efficient and thorough care. The practice emphasizes a supportive, team-oriented culture and delivering compassionate care to patients and their owners.

Team
The hospital has two veterinarians and a highly skilled support staff. The team environment is collaborative and welcoming, with a focus on mentorship, strong communication, and professional growth. Support staff handle much of the hands-on patient care and client interactions, allowing veterinarians to focus on medical responsibilities.
