Roadway Project Engineer

Our transportation design team offers a variety of services, but much of our work involves roadway and bridge design for various local public agencies and state DOTs. • Supporting project managers in the planning and execution of roadway design projects.
• Assisting in the preparation of project proposals, budgets, and timelines.
• Conducting engineering analysis and design for assigned projects.
• Designing complete projects, or components of projects, and preparing complete project documents.
• Applying engineering techniques, methods, and design criteria to support project execution.
• Coordinating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure project goals are met.
• Preparing and reviewing project documentation, reports, and specifications.
• Collaborating with clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies.
• May be involved in the mentorship and development of junior level staff.
• May perform other duties associated with this role.

Qualifications for this role:

• Bachelors or masters degree in civil engineering or a closely related field.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.
• 4+ years of progressive civil engineering experience in roadway/highway design
• Working knowledge of OpenRoads Designer.
• Willing to work as part of a team.
