14415 IT Specialist ITS Western/Central NY (Hybrid Negotiable)

Title: IT Specialist
Location: DOL Sites Western/Central NY
Shift: M-F, 7am - 6pm (Hybrid & Hours Negotiable)
Pay Rate: $44.65 - $46.30 / per hour

Job Summary

The ITS Specialist-Senior position will provide technical assistance and assessment of designated NYS DOL facilities via the NYS ITS Network Site Consultation process.This will include but not limited to circuit bandwidth, wireless predictive surveys, cable requirements as well as and required network and wireless upgrades. The position will require travel to complete the physical site assessments.

• Provide detailed site survey consultations
• Travel to sites to perform required site surveys
• Complete rough order magnitude estimates for site surveys
• Submit internal requests to fulfill site surveys and monitor progress to resolution
• Act as liaison between ITS and DOL for site surveys
• Implement, configure, install, troubleshoot, relocate, and remove various network equipment on site as needed

• 5 years of experience installing/troubleshooting PCs and
  Printers
• 5 years of experience installing/troubleshooting servers
• 1 year of experience installing/troubleshooting VOIP phones
• 5 years of experience installing/troubleshooting data communications equipment
• 5 years of experience conducting technical site surveys
• 5 years of experience data cable installation/troubleshooting
• 3 years of experience conducting inventory control
• 3 years of experience in desktop support

• Authorized to work in the US. NYS Requires proof of authorization be provided as part of the application process

• A minimum of 7 of the 8 qualifications listed under the Job Qualifications
