Job Description We are seeking a highly skilled Program Manager with extensive experience in utility construction and project management to lead and coordinate our utility service projects. The ideal candidate will serve as a single point of contact, ensuring the successful execution of project scope, cost, schedule, quality, and safety management. Responsibilities
- Serve as the single point of contact for utility scope management, including transmission, distribution, and substation.
- Facilitate regular design and site progress meetings at least once per week, either in person or via teleconference.
- Provide a matrix with contact information and responsibilities for all utility groups involved in the project.
- Ensure all utility and substation scope is signed off by Energy PMs as part of the FCA.
- Coordinate and document tasks such as agreements, deeds, or easements to ensure project completion.
- Inform Energy PMs of missed scope and verify all work is in scope before proceeding.
- Track purchase orders and report on funding, typically when 80% is remaining.
- Establish budgets, cost estimates, and change orders, ensuring they are fully executed before proceeding.
- Publish detailed project schedules and establish critical path activities, reporting weekly.
- Maintain and update project progress monthly and publish key milestones.
- Verify substation civil completion to utility specifications and advise Energy PMs of any quality issues.
- Submit Energization Safety plans and verify completion of all scope downstream of the yard.
- Conduct weekly site walks and establish pre-construction site walks with stakeholders.
- 10+ years of experience in utility project management.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Project Management is preferred.
- Strong understanding of easements and right of way.
- Proficiency in cost management and construction project management.
- Experience with AutoCad and BIM360 for design coordination.
- Strong organizational skills, flexibility, and ability to handle adversity.
