Schedule: Full-Time, Day Shift

Role Overview:
The Clinical Dietitian is responsible for the nutrition care of all clients in all assigned settings. Responsible for overseeing oral, enteral and parenteral nutrition support for assigned population. Screens, assesses, educates, monitors, and evaluates assigned population according to established practice guidelines and Nutrition Services policies. Collaborates and coordinates patient care with members of the health care team. Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate for the patient population served. Design and implement nutrition strategies that promote life-long health and minimize health and disease related risk factors.
Responsibilities Include:
- Provides age-appropriate nutrition care through assessment, diagnosis, intervention and evaluation
- Collaborates with patients, families, and the care team to develop and monitor nutrition plans
- Supports development of nutrition policies, protocols, and quality improvement efforts
- Applies evidence-based practice and ethical standards to ensure safe, effective care
- Educates patients and mentors staff and dietetic interns
- Demonstrates professionalism, reliability, and excellent customer service
Minimum Qualifications:
- A caring, professional, and patient-focused individual who enjoys making a direct impact
- Registered Dietitian (RD) with licensure or eligibility to practice in South Carolina
- Certificate of Training for Pediatrics and Adults (to be completed within 1 year)
- Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition or Dietetics (new grads welcome!)
