Laborer

The Laborer performs general labor and clean-up work in a plant or field as directed, and unloads railcars as directed. All duties are to be performed while exhibiting and championing safe work and environmental compliance practices for the incumbent as well as co-workers. This position currently is working M-F from 7am to 3:30pm, but schedule may vary based on business needs (at times it becomes a 4-10 hour shift).

• All regular full-time hourly employees may enroll in medical, dental and vision plans on the 1st of the month following 60 days. • Employees are eligible to enroll in our 401k plan upon employment and will receive 12% employer contribution into 401k plan upon employment.

This is a full-time position, currently working M-F from 7am to 3:30pm but schedule may vary as business needs change (other schedule at times is 10-hour shifts either 5am - 3:30pm or 3pm - 1:30am, Monday - Thursday orTuesday - Friday). Overtime when workload requires, including weekends. Qualified pay rate is $25.99 per hour.

• Perform clean-up duties in all areas of the facility, including regular use of broom, shovel and wheelbarrow.
• Operate equipment including the super sucker, street sweeper, track mobile, front-end loader, forklift, bobcat,water truck, dump trucks and other related equipment.
• Unload railcars as directed.
• Perform painting as assigned.
• Perform janitorial and minor maintenance duties as assigned.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

High school diploma/GED

• Ability to meet Federal ATF, state, and county requirements for handling Cardox in the future. If hired, and ATFis denied, employment is terminated.
• Ability to read, write, and verbally communicate in the English language.
• Knowledge of hazards associated with areas of responsibility.
• Ability to sit, stand, stoop, and bend for extended periods of time (up to 10 hours).
• Ability to walk on all types of surfaces (uneven and/or slippery ground).
• Must be able to lift and carry heavy items (50 pounds), sometimes upstairs, using proper lifting techniquesand/or equipment.
• Must be able to use proper Personal Protective Equipment as required.
• Climb stairs and ladders as high as 400 feet in elevation.
• Must be able to walk long distances, climb stockpiles, stoop, and crawl under and into confined spaces.
• Ability to see and hear safety indicators and warnings and will have exposure to all levels of noise, requiringhearing protection.
• Must be able to work in all weather conditions: heat, cold, wet, dry and/or dusty conditions and near hot kilnprocess.
• Exposure to cement, clay, limestone and various chemicals.
• Able to work efficiently, both independently and as part of a team

Successful candidate must submit to and successfully pass at post-offer pre-employment physical examination, drug/alcohol screen, and criminal background check. Upon hire, employee must be able to meet Federal ATF, state, and county requirements for handling Cardox in the future (ATF clearance). Continued employment is contingent upon ATF clearance within introductory period (90-working days).
