A skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist is needed for a contract position in Grove City, OH. This role involves performing diagnostic and therapeutic nuclear medicine procedures, handling radiopharmaceuticals, and ensuring radiation safety in alignment with facility policies and protocols. The schedule for this assignment includes Saturday through Monday, from 6:00 AM to 6:30 PM.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct and document nuclear medicine examinations as ordered by healthcare providers.
- Ensure clear communication during caregiver handoffs to maintain continuity of care.
- Analyze examinations for quality control and prepare completed exams for radiologist interpretation.
- Operate nuclear medicine cameras and related equipment safely and efficiently.
- Administer radiopharmaceuticals under physician guidance.
- Transport and position patients with care and attention to safety.
- Participate in quality assurance and quality control activities related to nuclear medicine.
- Utilize facility-based computer systems for documentation and communication.
Qualifications:
- Associate or Bachelors degree in allied health or Nuclear Medicine Technology from an AMA-approved program or equivalent registry eligibility.
- Current registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB).
- Valid Ohio state licensure and up-to-date CPR or When Seconds Count certification.
- Minimum of two years experience in a diagnostic imaging setting preferred.
- Strong computer proficiency, excellent communication, organizational abilities, and critical thinking skills.
Physical Requirements:This position involves primarily sedentary work with occasional lifting or movement up to 10 pounds and some standing or walking. Patient handling requires safe positioning and transport skills.
