This position requires the ability to interpret blueprints, work independently or as part of a team, and maintain high standards of safety, quality, and craftsmanship. Key Responsibilities Perform all welding tasks related to shop fabrication and pipe assembly. Assist with layout, fit-up, and alignment of materials according to blueprints and project specifications. Follow all company and OSHA safety standards, maintaining a clean and organized work area. Inspect and maintain welding equipment to ensure proper function and reliability. Work closely with supervisors and other trades to meet project deadlines and production goals. Support a culture of teamwork, communication, and continuous improvement. Perform other related duties as assigned. Qualifications & Experience Minimum of 1 year of welding experience (GMAW/MIG preferred). Ability to read and interpret blueprints and shop drawings. Working knowledge of pipefitting, plumbing systems, and general mechanical layout is a plus. Proficient with hand tools, grinders, torches, and other shop equipment. Capable of producing high-quality welds within precise limits and production standards. Must be able to pass a GMAW (MIG) pipe weld test.
