Cloud-Native .NET Solution Architect
Location:
Columbus, OH (must be within 2 hours of Columbus; 3 days on-site / 2 days remote)
Contract:
W2 only, 12-month contract with potential for extension or full-time conversion
Pay:
$46.88 /hour - $110.70 /hour + optional medical, dental, vision, 401(k) match
Overview
The System Architect will design and develop complex frameworks to support application development, primarily focusing on Microsoft Technologies and cloud architectures in Azure. This role involves mentoring developers, researching new technologies, and ensuring the successful delivery of distributed .NET solutions within a microservices and cloud-native environment.
Key Responsibilities
Own and enhance application frameworks including web, services, enterprise integration, and batch components.
Provide cross-functional support for performance issues and application errors.
Develop architectural designs and guide internal and external resources on framework usage.
Support release management and source code management within an agile DevOps environment.
Lead and coordinate cross-functional teams, ensuring efficient project delivery and resource planning.
Mentor team members and promote best practices in application development.
Research and recommend new technologies to management for adoption.
Required Skills
Extensive experience with cloud application architectures in Azure.
Strong expertise in .NET Core, .NET 6+, and distributed .NET applications.
Proven experience with microservices architecture and designing applications with AWS services.
Knowledge of Angular, containerization, NoSQL databases, and CI/CD pipelines with GitHub.
10-15 years of relevant technical experience.
Ability to research, troubleshoot, and fix complex issues.
Adaptability to evolving technologies and project requirements.
Preferred Skills
Experience with enterprise application frameworks and integration technologies.
Familiarity with DevOps practices, release management, and source code management.
Knowledge of financial services regulations such as UDAAP and Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act.
Experience mentoring developers and guiding architectural best practices.
