Summary

Coordinate the receiving and shipping of donated items from the Goodwill warehouse.

Essential Job Functions

  • Supervise Warehouse Associates and Dock Workers.
  • Plan work schedules to meet the logistical needs of Retail.
  • Participate in moving and organizing warehouse items.
  • Help load and unload donated merchandise from trucks at warehouse.
  • Operate forklift to move pallets and/or heavy inventory.
  • Prepare salvage materials for pick-up.
  • Provide guidance and training to staff and keep manager informed of employees' performance.
  • Communicate transportation routes and dispatch truck drivers.
  • Perform warehouse opening and closing duties as assigned.

Ancillary Job Functions

  • Operate bale machine to prepare salvage items for pick up.
  • Operate trash compactor.
  • Responsible for all warehouse and transportation operations in the absence of next level manager
  • Perform, other related duties as assigned.

Education and Experience - An equivalent combination of education, training and experience will be considered.

  • One year of experience in warehousing or related field.
  • One year of direct supervisory experience.

Knowledge Skills and Abilities

  • Ability to operate a forklift and bale machine.
  • Clear verbal communication skills and ability to give and follow written and oral instructions.
  • Ability to work independently and make responsible decisions.
  • Ability to use good judgment and think quickly and rationally.
  • Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite

Work Environment

  • Exposed to loud noise levels.
  • Subjected to varying, inclement outdoor weather conditions.
  • Will work near moving mechanical parts and potentially dangerous physical situations.

Physical Abilities

  • Must be able to sit, stand, grasp, push, reach, and bend.
  • Must be able to perform repetitive writs, hand and/or finger movement.
  • Mut have finger dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds p a regular basis.
  • Regular attendance is a necessary and essential function.
