Data Analyst

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Analyst for an 18-month hybrid engagement in Beaverton, OR to spearhead a high-impact, end-to-end reporting initiative for an upcoming major global sporting event. This pivotal role is perfect for a technical, self-motivated individual who excels at transforming complex data into compelling narratives. You will collaborate closely with product engineering and operational stakeholders to design and implement scalable data workflows, construct intuitive dashboards, and ensure timely access to crucial metrics that drive strategic decisions. This engagement is expected to be a significant, long-term project, offering substantial impact and visibility.

You will own the full lifecycle of data reporting from ingestion and enrichment to visualization and stakeholder engagement with a primary focus on supporting product engineering teams and supply chain operations. This role offers a unique chance to influence high-visibility initiatives with global reach, collaborate with senior leadership, and grow into a strategic data leadership position within a dynamic team thats shaping the future of innovation.

Responsibilities

* Lead the development of comprehensive reporting solutions for a high-profile international competition initiative.
* Design and implement robust data ingestion processes, including those for user-managed files.
* Enrich raw data by applying sophisticated business logic and transformation rules.
* Build and maintain efficient ETL pipelines to support diverse reporting and analytics needs.
* Collaborate effectively with operational supply chain teams to gather and refine business requirements.
* Develop engaging front-end dashboards using industry-leading visualization tools.
* Translate complex technical concepts into clear, actionable insights for executive stakeholders.
* Ensure seamless data availability and accessibility for cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

* A minimum of 8-9 years of experience in data analytics or data engineering.
* Proficiency in SQL and Python.
* Hands-on experience with visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
* Proven experience in backend development, demonstrating strong data engineering capabilities.
* Familiarity with Data Lakehouse platforms.
* A strong understanding of the data product lifecycle.
* Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, including the ability to convey technical information in a business-savvy manner.
* A strong understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
* Proven ability to work independently, drive projects forward, and thrive in fast-paced, ambiguous environments.
* A Bachelors degree is preferred for this role.

Nice-to-have-qualifications
* Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS, GCP).
* Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines for data workflows.
* A background in sports analytics or event-based reporting.
* Experience working in global, cross-functional teams.
* Prior experience executing high-profile projects.
* Background in manufacturing or supply chain environments.
* Specific experience with Databricks.

The target hiring compensation range for this role is $50.00 to 56.00 per hour. Compensation is based on several factors including but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location
