Responsibilities
Project Management:
- Lead global coordination of capacity communication to key customers current capacity, available capacity, future state capacity additions, etc.
 - Create consistent messaging to customers & lead executive updates to drive structured alignment within the organization.
 
Global Footprint Strategy:
- Clearly communicate long-term manufacturing footprint strategies to customers, emphasizing how our global network supports their growth, resiliency, and service needs.
 - Translate complex plant location and capacity considerationscost, geopolitical risk, technology enablement, supply chain resiliency, and customer proximityinto clear value propositions for customers.
 - Present make-vs-buy and vertical integration strategies in a customer-focused way, showing how decisions strengthen reliability, innovation, and responsiveness to their requirements.
 
Capacity Planning & Optimization:
- Conduct in-depth capacity modeling, scenario planning, and throughput analysis for multiple product lines in coordination and aligned with Regional AME group
 - Identify and propose solutions to optimize plant loading, equipment utilization, and capital deployment in coordination and aligned with Regional AME group
 - Partner with regional and plant teams to ensure alignment with growth forecasts and demand variability.
 
Cross-Functional & Global Collaboration:
- Collaborate with Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, and Finance to ensure cross-functional alignment on strategic manufacturing decisions.
 - Coordinate across global teams to standardize best practices and tools for footprint and capacity planning.
 - Support product transfers and ramp-ups across regions, ensuring minimal disruption and operational continuity.
 
Data-Driven Decision Making:
- Leverage manufacturing and business intelligence data (e.g., MES, ERP, capacity tools) to drive strategic planning.
 - Develop and maintain models for manufacturing cost, utilization, and capacity scenario analysis.
 
Process Standardization & Scalability:
- Promote scalable manufacturing processes, modular BoP strategies, and digital factory principles.
 - Support new product introduction by integrating design for manufacturability principles and capacity readiness into early planning.
 
Education
Bachelors Degree in Industrial Engineering/Technology, Supply China, Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics or equivalent experience
Requirements
- Strong project management experience
 - Demonstrated success in leading or supporting global manufacturing transformation programs.
 - Strong analytical skills, including financial modeling and use of simulation or capacity planning software (e.g. Simio, or equivalent).
 - Knowledge of global supply chain dynamics, geopolitical influences, and total landed cost analysis.
 - Experience with digital manufacturing tools (e.g., MES, digital twins) is a plus.
 - Strong communication, leadership, and project management skills; able to influence at all levels.
 - Multi-industry or multi-product-line experience.
 - Lean Six Sigma or continuous improvement background.
