Position: Director of Nursing – Long-Term Care
Location: Waconia, MN
Schedule: Full-Time, Day Shift (40 hrs/week)
Compensation: $38.00 – $63.00 per hour
Bonus: $10,000 sign-on available

Overview:
A mission-driven senior care organization with over a century of service is hiring an experienced Director of Nursing to lead clinical operations at a long-term care facility. This is a leadership opportunity for a registered nurse with a strong background in geriatric care and team management. The role includes full oversight of nursing services, quality assurance, compliance, and staff development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily clinical operations to ensure high standards of care

  • Direct, mentor, and evaluate nursing personnel

  • Maintain compliance with healthcare regulations and internal standards

  • Collaborate with leadership and medical staff to align clinical strategy

  • Address staffing, scheduling, and performance evaluations

  • Respond to resident needs and provide nursing care as required

  • Contribute to community engagement efforts and support facility events

  • Develop and implement procedures and protocols for safe, efficient care delivery

  • Monitor budgets, safety, and program effectiveness across departments

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Nursing

  • Active and unencumbered RN license in Minnesota or multi-state license if applicable

  • At least 5 years of nursing experience, with prior leadership or administrative exposure

  • Deep understanding of nursing regulations and standards of care

  • Comfortable with oversight of care planning, compliance audits, and performance management

  • Experience in assisted living, HUD housing, or similar care settings is a plus

Preferred Background:

  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program (e.g., CCNE, ACEN, or NLN CNEA)

  • Experience working in rural or smaller-scale senior care facilities

  • Familiarity with long-term care software systems and reporting tools

Additional Information:

  • Flexibility to work extended hours or weekends when required

  • Will need to complete a background check and drug screening upon offer

  • Ongoing education and certification maintenance expected
