Role overview

Lead safe, high-quality plumbing installations, service, and repairs on commercial/industrial projects. Mentor apprentices, coordinate with GC/other trades, and deliver work that meets code, spec, and schedule.

What youll do
  • Install, repair, and maintain piping systems (domestic water, sanitary/vent, storm, natural gas, specialty lines).

  • Read/interpret plans, isos, and specifications; verify layout and elevations.

  • Rough-in and trim fixtures (carriers, interceptors, water heaters/boilers, PRVs, backflows).

  • Thread, solder/braze, press, glue, fusion weld (PVC/CPVC, copper, PEX, cast iron, steel).

  • Set hangers/supports, perform hydro/air testing, document results, and close punch items.

  • Lead a small crew (13 apprentices): assign tasks, check quality, coach safety and best practices.

  • Coordinate with field leadership, scheduler, and site superintendent to hit milestones.

  • Maintain jobsite safety (LOTO, ladders/scaffolds, confined space, hot work).

  • (Service track) Diagnose issues, quote/upsell approved repairs, communicate clearly with customers, complete work orders.

What youll bring
  • Active Journeyman Plumber license in [state] (or equivalent/reciprocity eligibility).

  • 4+ years commercial/industrial plumbing experience.

  • Proficiency with drawings, takeoffs, and materials; ability to lead apprentices.

  • Solid knowledge of IPC/IMC/IFGC (or state code) and inspection process.

  • Safe use of hand/power tools, threaders, core drills, press tools, drain machines.

  • Clean, professional communication; dependable, team-first mindset.

  • Valid drivers license and insurable MVR.

Physical & schedule
  • Lift/push/pull 5075 lbs ; frequent standing, kneeling, climbing ladders; indoor/outdoor, hot/cold environments.
