Job Description

We’re looking for a Financial Controller to join our small, close-knit family office and take ownership of day-to-day accounting, reporting, and financial operations across several related businesses. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone who loves variety, values accuracy, and enjoys working in a friendly, collaborative environment where their work truly matters.

About Us
We’re a family-run group of companies spanning software, real estate, and professional services. Our office operates much like a startup — flexible, fast-moving, and people-first. We value integrity, initiative, and clear communication, and we take pride in treating our employees like family.

What You’ll Do
    •    Oversee full-cycle accounting for multiple entities, ensuring accuracy and consistency across the group.
    •    Prepare monthly and year-end financial statements, management reports, and reconciliations.
    •    Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, and cash flow tracking.
    •    Handle payroll processing and related compliance filings (e.g., state taxes, 401k contributions).
    •    Partner with leadership on forecasting, budgeting, and strategic financial planning.
    •    Coordinate with outside CPAs and advisors on tax compliance and filings.
    •    Maintain and refine accounting processes to support growth and efficiency.
    •    Manage QuickBooks Online and maintain clean, organized books across entities.

What We’re Looking For
    •    Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred).
    •    5+ years of progressive accounting experience, ideally in multi-entity environments.
    •    Strong knowledge of GAAP and QuickBooks Online (Xero or NetSuite experience a plus).
    •    Comfortable handling payroll and intercompany transactions.
    •    High attention to detail, reliability, and follow-through.
    •    Strong communication skills and a positive, collaborative approach.

Why You’ll Love Working Here
    •    Supportive, family-oriented environment — your contributions are seen and valued.
    •    Flexible schedule and autonomy in your day-to-day work.
    •    Opportunity to make an impact and improve processes directly.
    •    Competitive pay and benefits package.
    •    Long-term stability with a team that truly cares.
