Company Overview:

Insight Global's Client is an authorized UL Inspection Center specializing in rebuilding motors and generators for use in hazardous locations - repairing electric motors ranging from small handheld units to large industrial-grade equipment.

 

Position Summary:

We are seeking a highly autonomous, detail-oriented Office Manager / Bookkeeper to oversee day-to-day office operations and manage full-cycle bookkeeping. This role requires a proactive individual who thrives in a dynamic, non-corporate environment and can handle multiple responsibilities with minimal supervision.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage office operations, scheduling, and administrative tasks for a smaller team of employees.
  • Perform full-cycle bookkeeping, including accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and payroll tax processing (all in-house).
  • Maintain financial records using Sage (Peachtree) and, with some manual paper-based processes.
  • Prepare and reconcile reports; assist with compliance and record-keeping.
  • Utilize MS365 tools (Word, Excel, Publisher, Outlook) for documentation and communication.
  • Support customer communications and ensure smooth office workflow.

 

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in bookkeeping and office management.
  • Proficiency in Sage (Peachtree); QuickBooks experience acceptable.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles, payroll, and payroll tax processes.
  • Skilled in MS365 applications; comfortable with both digital and paper-based systems.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and make decisions without supervision.

 

Preferred Skills:

  • Friendly and outgoing personality with strong customer service skills.
  • Highly organized with attention to detail and observational skills.
  • Experience troubleshooting office equipment and basic IT tasks.

 

Work Schedule & Environment:

  • Full-time: 40 hours/week, Monday–Friday, 9 AM–5 PM (on-site, flexible days off).
  • Casual, fast-paced environment requiring adaptability and initiative.
