We’re seeking a seasoned HR Manager who will play a pivotal role in building our growing team of career-focused insurance agents, while shaping our people culture and operational excellence.
Daily Responsibilities:
Lead full-cycle recruitment for insurance sales agents: job postings, sourcing, licensing state-verification, interviews, offer management.
Manage HR operations, policies and procedures: compliance with employment laws, HRIS/ATS systems, leave administration, benefits coordination.
Coordinate new-hire orientation and onboarding programs for agents and internal staff.
Screen applicant qualifications: active insurance licences (state-specific), sales experience, culture-fit for long-term career path.
Represent Vemtek at job fairs, virtual recruiting events and agent-community outreach.
Use HR metrics and reporting to track recruitment funnel, agent turnover, licensing compliance and team performance.
Collaborate with leadership to improve retention, training and career development pathways for agents and internal team.
Handle HR documentation: new hire paperwork, unemployment claims, compliance filings, state licensing checks, background verification.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Certification: PHR (Professional in Human Resources) or equivalent preferred.
Minimum 3-5 years experience in HR/Recruiting, ideally within insurance, sales or high-growth service organisations.
Demonstrated experience with full-cycle recruiting and talent acquisition operations.
Strong knowledge of HR systems (ATS/HRIS), metrics, analytics and reporting.
Ability to navigate employment law, licensing/regulatory compliance (especially for insurance agents in multiple states).
Excellent leadership, communication and organisational skills ability to multitask and manage recruitment and operational HR functions simultaneously.
Nice-to-Have:
Experience recruiting/licensing insurance sales agents across multiple U.S. states.
Familiarity with onboarding remote/field-based sales teams.
Prior experience with high-volume recruiting campaigns, job board management (iHireInsurance, LinkedIn, Indeed).
Understanding of CRM systems, sales operations or agent-product knowledge in insurance.
Salary & Benefits:
Salary Range: US $50,000 – US $64,000 per year
